hi pramila Steps:
1. Boot ur machine in rescue mode from the installation CD # 1 or any other CD that allow u to boot into linux ( eg knoppix ) 2. chroot to ur original root directory. 3. run grub-install to set grub as ur default boot loader 4. Make the necessary changes to ur grub.conf file to configure it to start windows 98 also.
