Hello all, Just wanted to say that I managed to get the job done. Apparently all I needed was mjpegtools to help multiplex the video I created from a JPEG. Since there was no audio in that first video, it was getting corrupted when joining it using the 'cat' command. By just adding some zero audio into the first video, the joining worked just fine.
