hi, i am running rh9.0 in runlevel 5. kde is the default window manager.
many times during boot, the graphics are not loaded. the services turn on, after which the text prompt is shown. the next step is to get a graphical login. but often the graphics get scrambled. i get a few vertical lines flashing like in X configuration and then need to reboot. but mostly gui mode starts up without any errors with proper colors, mouse etc. why does X not load sometimes? i have an onboard intel extreme graphics card on an intel 845 gbv motherboard. as i mentioned earlier mostly X and kde run smoothly. thanks rahul -- http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers
