Some observations:

There is no way anyone will implement Linux becoz of its
features or becoz someone else has implemented it. you have
to give them hard facts and figures relevant to their
organisation to make them even listen to you..
also, when you provide a path where they start with minor
applications - then move to mission-critical - you're
basically exposing doubt about the feasibility of using
Linux.
Linux does work, so you dont have to be timid in
implementing it (i can say that becoz my company went
directly from Exchange 5.5 to a qmail cluster, no less)
