Hello, I recommend buying Sony DVD ROM Drive. I have one and its definitely better than samsung. No ideas about LG make. Besides i would suggest you not to invest in combo. DVD writer costs around 6000 bucks and are good enough to burn both CDs (16/24 x) and DVDs (4x).
