yes this is the best part i also like ... you have a choice of RPM
based test or DPKG based test .

LPI is quite democratic i believe . as far as i know its developed by
the community ... the alumni come together to form the test objective
and some core team helps makes the questions

also the fact is that a lot of IT cos are asknig for LPI now .. like
novell ... heard some ppl from TCS taking the test too for some proj 
[ not sure ... heard at a test center ] ... IBM supports LPI they have
a tut on developerworks

novell / suse certs have lpi as pre requisites
