ive never succeeded in configuring a network card in red hat using the gui - 
i have done it several times (including configuring an isa card) but have 
forgotten how! i am now trying to configure a second network card in an rh7.1 
system - no luck so far. so keep me posted with your work, i'll do the same 
from this end
