i think tally and linux thread is no longer relevant. someone asked if tally worked on linux ... list responded ... dont know what is the fuss about it now ?
if anyone who is willing to pay for tally and is ok with the vendor lockin but still wants to move out of windows into linux .... i will consider it a first step towards moving to FLOSS ... not bad .... someday when oss equivalent of tally will be ready and he will gladly move to it for those who are really serious about teaming up to build FLOSS accounting package for indians sud possibly team with existing projects, contribute and accelerate the process. no point reiterating the point on the list .... a SIG sud be created for this and serious attension sud be paid .... i wud be more than willing to be a test user for it Regards Harsh -- http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers
