The GNU/Linux Users Group of Mumbai will hold its May GLUG meet on
22nd May 2005 at 3PM at the DEP auditorium of the Kanwal Rekhi School
of IT (KReSIT), IIT Bombay. Talks on following topics will be
conducted.

* Eclipse, an IDE - by Mohan Jayakar
Mohan Jayakar of IBM will be giving us an introduction to
Eclipse. Eclipse, the integrated development environment that was
open-sourced by IBM.Eclipse has gained a lot of momentum and is

* Dynamic Tracing using dtrace - by Sameer Niphadkar
Sameer has planned to give a small talk/presentation on
Dynamic Tracing using dtrace with D Programig language on Open
Solaris.


This is probably the first GNU/Linux Users Group meet to be
broadcast nationwide. GLUG meet is being held in the Distance
Education Program auditorium at KReSIT, IIT Bombay and will be
broadcast to the other 11 DEP remote centers listed below:

* Kanwal Rekhi School of Information Technology, IIT Bombay, Mumbai
* Mahatma Gandhi Mission's College of Engineering and Technology, Nanded
* Center for Development of Advanced Computing, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai
* Shri G.S. Institute of Technology and Science, Indore
* Sinhgad Technical Education Society, Pune
* Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur
* Virtual Institute of Training of Goa University, Goa
* Persistant Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune
* K.C.E. Society's, Mooljee Jaitha College, Jalgaon
* Nirma Institute of Technology, Ahmedabad
* Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute,Mumbai

GLUG members at these remote centers are also welcome to attend
this GLUG meet and IIT will also be sending out invitations to its
collaborators at the remote centers. As always, the program is open to
everyone and there are no fees for attending this GLUG meet.

Hi,

Just wanted to know if this is a walkin or we have to register somewhere. 
Please do let us know if registration is required.

Moreover does getting into IIT reuiqres I-card?
