Three cheers to Dr. Nag and the Enlightened politicians. Are we not safe for the time being from the IS NOT patent?. The EU directors are falling over themselves trying to permit software patents with a ridiculous condition known as "Technical effect" the said effect being produced when the software is run on a computing platform. Is there another platform on which software runs? All this inspite of stiff opposition from members and citizens. The last attempt to push the law thru was at a meeting of Fisheries and Agriculture (or some such), i am still trying to make the connection between fish and software.
