And from the wrong end too.
He's never heard about PDF. PDF is one of the standards in which
to exchange documents. You do it by clicking an icon in openoffice.
Do search for that feature in M$office. Will solve all problems
of document exchange.
Also the size of an Oo .sxw or sxc file is almost 1/3 of an M$
file. So why don't the bums in M$ spend some time to make their
format similar to Oo. Besides it would become standards compliant.

while on the subject perhaps Richard will care to point out a source
for M$ doc file format and M$office APIs. To get an idea of what we
are blabbing about visit the url.

I do agree it's a different path from Richard's avowed noble goal
of using without knowing how to. But nonetheless.
He might also want to read (and inform the author too)
http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/faq-overview.html

It will acquaint both with the goals and objectives of the Oo team.

small correction Erle the most important points were left out in that
article.
This author has been publishing fud according to the folks on Groklaw.
He had in the past published more balanced articles but seems to be
going to the darkside. Perhaps a simple matter of Caviar and Champagne
v/s freedom (yawn). Or maybe using without knowing as some love to say.
