(according to http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers)
/quote:
We discuss issues related to promoting, supporting the GNU/Linux OS,
various distributions, sharing free/open source resources, have
informal and formal meetings/seminars, organise workshops now and
then, etc.

if news is what one is looking for then there are thousands if not
lakhs of news websites which one can read directly online (some even
deliver them to your mailbox) so its definitely not ok to spam all
subscribers with news feeds/links and other errata.

lug's (=linux user group) are about sharing Linux experiences with
different flavors of linux/floss and helping users and newbie
problems, and more .....

btw, definition of "relevant" , " useful " are highly subjective and
mean different things to different people.
a better option for those keenly interested in such mail would be to
create a special separate mailing list for those interested here :
http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/cgi-bin/mailman/create
and **ask** if anyone is interested in joining instead of spamming a
general lug-list.
