Hello Rajat,
Did you do a lot of experimenting on the settings before you reached
this point? Try to setup kppp from the gui mode. It will ask for the
root password. If not then add 'gksu -' to the kppp path in your kppp
link. Try a clean reinstall > setup kppp in gui if nothing else works. I
have used sarge (the older one) and did not have any problems accept
having to add the 'route add...' line.
