Hi there. I compiled the released Q3 Arena source (thank you, thank you Mr. John Carmack!) a couple of hours ago. However, I soon found out that somehow it ran well only if I fired up X in a resolution of 640x480. It just wouldn't get up to speed if I booted into the default resolution of 1024x768 (even though q3 itself ran in 640x480 mode).
Is there a way I can start X in 640x480 mode without changing the global /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?
