Your's could be a serial mouse. You may have to do,
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
and select /dev/ttyS0 as your mouse device, and say OK for all other
options.

Thanks for ur reply.
But dude the problem is as UBUNTU gets loaded I am stuck on the desktop
with no mouse only keyboard working, is there ny shortcut keys to open
the /dev folder.
