Sometime on Nov 4, NM cobbled together some glyphs to say:
I am wiping out my harddisk and just copying the files as a backup
using K3B. Will it work if I keep the permissions the same.
Again, I'm going to repeat what I said before. "Ownership".
Permissions are different from ownership. You have to make sure that
the files are _owned_ by the correct person, or the permissions make no
difference.
