That's why I say use something like apt-get or yum to install all software. They will take care of all dependencies. I bought my hardware individually from Lam road somewhere in January. At that time I didn't have an idea about yum and apt-get. So i was in a similar situation like you. But today I know exactly what I want and how to get it. So its very easy.
