Flame war or no flame war. I think Linus is right. Not because he is Linus but because he has pointed out correctly that GNOME sucks at functionality. What makes the M$ UI so easy to use is that there are a zillion ways to arrive at the the same result. *Here* the path taken from the starting point to the ending point matters a lot. For example, I find it very difficult to select files in GNOME's file dialog box simply because I have to search for the file and click it. Where as in KDE or M$ Windoze, you can simply click any file and then press the first letter of your file and the box simply scrolls until you find your file...
