Learn to live with the realities. Piracy is a reality. Denying it is of

person isn't committing a crime until he / she has actually acquired a
pirated copy of whatever he / she is asking for.
There was a time when I thought piracy was helping in bringing down the
cost of paid software and that benifited the people. But after seeing
the tremendous effort put in by the open source community, I personally
feel that piracy is actually killing FOSS. Just as a drug dealer
benifits after providing initial free doses, commercial software cos.
too benifit from making the users slaves to their platform, even if its
through piracy. Today the majority of the world computer users as well
as manufacturers are so addicted or rather dependent on windows that
they are finding it difficult to break its barriers and switch over to
FOSS like linux.
