When I said my comp crashed I meant that when I "hit the button" all
that happened was that the power led glowed - no display and no led
even for the hard disk. However, it turned out that is was more my
hopes that had crashed. The BIOS had got corrupted and a call to Acer
helpline fixed that. The comp is up and about again.
BTW +1 from me.
