Which means you have either never legally bought a DVD in recent
times, or have not used a recently procured DVD player. If you had you
would have seen how most non-Apple manufacturers don't implement
hardware region encoding, and the LG and SONY players that I have seen
with my own eyes and touched with my own hands are legally
manufactured.
