PCB for pcb design and Geda for schematics. However no method for converting from either orcad or protel that i know of. Consequently There is Kicad too - with a 3D pcb viewer. But i am absolutely comfortable with PCB and Geda. It is about a year now, since we switched completely to GEDA PCB has a commandline interpreter. This is unlike the regular cad tools like protel or padspcb. However once you know how to use it it saves massive amounts of time. There is also Savant, Icarus Verilog, GNUCap, Gspice Gwave etc. for simulation. Several very good asic layout tools are also available.
