The subject line and the above announcement have **nothing** to do with 
the help you are actually seeking! i.e. how to create a bootable USB 
install image for openSUSE.

Where did you download the Unetbootin image?  

About a year back when I used it, it was good for Ubuntu only i.e. it 
expected the directory/file layout of the Ubuntu Live CD ISO.  I do not 
know if the current sourceforge version (which lists a lot of other 
distros now) can handle the openSUSE distro.  Give it a shot.

Alternately, you can sign up for susestudio and create your own .img 
that you can dd on the hard disk.
