hello all, I am happy to announce that we have already gone pritty much ahead in the first deployment of GNUKhata at Comet Media Foundation and have got a few other interested parties.
While this is a great news for the GNUKhata project, we have made some drastic changes to GNUKhata which has resulted in a practical improvement of the software to a large degree. Thanks to all of you specially Kenneth, JTD, Mehul and many many others. Right now we need Some people to test the new source. There are 2 branches of GNUKhata, the bleeding edge is http://gnukhata.gnulinux.in/svn/gnukhata_alpha and the stable version is http://gnukhata.gnulinux.in/svn/trunk. Some of the major improvements include the way gnukhata is installed. A database can be setup using the client itself specially on the first time lonch of the front-end. We have also incorporated a lot of things based on the feedback we hav got. I would be intersted to know how people feel about this. right now due to some reason the mailing lists are down at the sid-india server so I can't get through.
