We aren't shooting the messenger. As Jacob pointed out in one of the posts, nobody is doubting his credentials, and there are a 100 reasons for the questions, however the questions are relevant only to someone who intends hiding under the rock or abetting in someway such behaviour. The conclusions dont change because of one's unique circumstances. Dont like gpl / doubt gpl then dont use gpl code. Else ask copyright holders for permission to hide under rock. The "special case" of including gpl code in BSD (or freerer) code boils down to the same thing I said earlier - enabling someone else to hide under the rock.
