Linpus is total crap. It was distributed by an ex M$ serf who
originally called it Lindows and let off plenty of hot air, before
getting paid $100 million by M$ for dissapearing.

Install ubuntu 10.04 dvd, or KG's fav distro Mandriva. Or any of the
innumerable distros, customised for certain tasks like animation, web
publishing, etc. etc.

If you specify what exactly you are trying to do, the list will help
in selecting a specific distro.
