well, the BOF was a resounding success with participants from as far
away as Kenya and Finnland (no, not the guy who comes to mind). There
were animated discussions on topics like how apple and nokia are taking
the finnish people for a ride, on the new 3300 rupee iphone demoed at
the meet, on getting static IP working, on FOSS in university education
- and of course, a lot of stories. Unfortunately there was no time to
discuss top posting ;-) Statistics - 60% of the participants were 'old',
100% of the 'old' people have not retired and are still active in
fossing. 60% of the participants were non-local. And a good proportion
of the gathering was from outside the country. Thanks to the management
and staff of pad.ma for the arrangements and excellent coffee - no, we
were having too good a time to watch a movie. Maybe next time.
