If this setup is for production then please use CentOS instead (based
on RHEL); the system admin tools are same as those found in Fedora.

Fedora is a community distribution and it lacks long term support.

To boot in text console mode, (as root) edit /etc/inittab file and
change the "default" run level to 3.
