I did some checking. The list server (ilug-bom.org.in has no MX records, so mails are delivered to the A record which is 74.207.228.67) requires all of the following resolving properly for it to accept emails:
1. The connection must be from an IP address that resolves in the reverse direction. 2. The reverse-resolved name in (1) must forward-resolve too. 3. The name used in the HELO/EHLO needs to resolve as well. 4. And finally, the domain of the address in the MAIL FROM should resolve too. Best would be to relay through Gmail. Why don't you relay your list emails via MTNL's (or Gmail's, > > easier to setup I guess) servers? > > > > MTNL has stopped allowing relaying afaik. > -- > http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers > -- http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers
