You are right, but my LAN has a total of 5 devices (apart from user
PC/laptop/phones) - 2 servers, 1 switch, 1 Wifi and 1 printer. Since
the servers and switch are on UPS, they are ruled out. I really want
to continue with the discipline of switching off the Wifi box at the
end of the day. Using the printer is my best bet - after all, I don't
mind a few Type I errors in this system.

I will share the script(s) I plan to write for this.
