Welcome to the world of Linux and FOSS and keep posting your queries
and sharing your achievements.

As a new user to FOSS mailing list "culture" you may not be aware of
posting etiquette and styles.

I would encourage you to do so ASAP. Here is a reference to get you started.

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style>

Briefly.

1. compose a 'new' message when you want to start a **new** discussion
(also called thread). Do *not* reply to some other discussion/thread
and post your query. Note: changing the subject line is *not* a
sufficient condition. This is called **hijacking** a
discussion/thread. Also give a meaningful subject for your query so
it helps others to gain from your discussion. This mailing list is
archived and shows up in all search engines.

2. Do *not* top post.

3. Trim your quote and limit it to the points you are commenting on.

4. Interleave your comment immediately below the other author's points
so the context of your comments are unequivocally clear.

The Wikipedia link (above) has illustrations of the above points and
should help you with a better understanding.

Welcome to the ILUG Mumbai mailing list.
