Hello,

I have an HP AiO 18 which runs Ubuntu 14.10 successfully.

It is my first attempt at Debian 7.6.0 under my x86_64 machine.

While the install process went well, the first boot just doesn't happen.

The boot-up menu is shown and when I select the first item;
Debian GNU/Linux, with Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64, the screen just blanks out.

There are no boot messages, nothing.

The num-lock indicator lights up and then goes out.

After waiting a while, I tried the caps-lock key, it's responsive by way of the indicator going on and off.

On hitting ctrl+alt+del the system just reboots without going through the usual system shutdown sequence.

Any ideas about how I could resolve this?

Thanks,

~Mayuresh
