- BeagleBoard.org is the main portal
for all things BeagleBoard, including the BeagleBoard-xM System
Reference Manual(PDF). The two main sites for
community-generated information are the eLinux.org BeagleBoard wiki and the smaller wiki on code.google.com.
- The main Angstrom site has plenty of
information about the Angstrom distribution. Information
about using the included validation image is on the Diagnostics page.
You can download software for the BeagleBoard from the Angstrom BeagleBoard
demo page (be
sure to read the instructions on the lower half of the
page). You can also create a custom prebuilt image using
Angstrom's Narcissus tool.
- Android resources for the
BeagleBoard-xM include the Rowboat Web site as well as the Texas Instruments
Android DevKit page. To learn more about the Android
operating system in general, start with the main Android page.
- Ubuntu resources for the
BeagleBoard-xM include the BeagleBoardUbuntu page on eLinux.org as well as the OMAP Maverick Install
page on the

2nd Ed. by
Chris Hallinan (Prentice Hall, 2010) is one of the absolute
best resources for learning embedded Linux.
- "Boot Linux on the
Beagle Board" (developerWorks, August 2009) shows how
to boot Linux on the BeagleBoard revision C.
- The Open Source Way is a wiki, book, and
(soon) textbook with community-created content dedicated to
defining how things are done in the open world and to
promoting the open source way in new realms, such as
