Hi,
We notice that when sending Management messages using UNIX socket ('pmc -u').
ptp4l propagate the message to the PTP domain network.
We try to set the target using local clock ID.
# pmc -u -f /etc/linuxptp/ptp4l.conf 'target xxxxxx.fffe.xxxxxx-1' 'get
CLOCK_DESCRIPTION'
Now, we get reply to the lock clock only.
But yet we see a GET request message on the PTP domain network.
Why does the ptp4l propagate the message?
Same with CURRENT_DATA_SET.
Management IDs for PTP port or PTP instance (clock) seems to behave the same in
this respect.
