What the heck is a "virtual PTP port"?

Is that anything like a Special Port from 1588?

My copy of 8275.2 (ITU-T G.8275.2/Y.1369.2 (03/2020)) has this in
Annex-B:

 Annex B
Options to establish the PTP topology with the Alternate BMCA

No mention of virtual.

Also, I have no idea what APTS or IWF is.

Thanks,
Richard
