Some of the power industry equipment lasts 30 or 40 years (except in California where they make it out of sugar, and it melts at the first rain). So who knows? Maybe someone will deploy the power profile today, and it will be still running in 83 years? I'll take care of it now, so our decendents have one less 2016 bug to fix...
