Hello,
I need to get some cameras to sync that require SMPTE 2059 messages. My
trusty linuxptp machine will have to act as grand master. I've implemented
these management messages, according to the SMPTE 2059 spec I found
someplace, as an additional command in pmc. It's a bit of a hack but it
sends packets that look correct to me. Unfortunately my test camera doesn't
agree...
and I'm not sure what I did wrong in my implementation or whether something
else isn't working correctly. Does anyone here have a grand master clock
that supports SMPTE 2059 and could share a quick wireshark capture -
ideally for 30fps no-drop-frame? I would like to have a look at these weird
management command packets that aren't actual commands.
Once I've got it working, I'll clean up the code and submit a patch.
