Thank you Richard for your response. I am using -S option cause I want a Software time stamping - I am working on the VM. In the link I put in my first post, it is said that "The master/slave port roles will be selected automatically using the protocol". So I assume that the configuration went properly. The thing I don't understand is that why "assuming the grand master role" is it printed more that once? Is it because both interfaces have chosen the same master clock (fa163e.fffe.fdf714) and they are both synchronized to it?
