We are using the linuxptp package in conjunction with SMPTE ST 2059-2:2015. Section 5.13 describes a management message with Synchronization Metadata (SM) TLV appended. There is a statement that "a slave should not issue the Management Message (ACKNOWLEDGE) when the Management Message (COMMAND) with the SM TLV is received". Is there a supported way of doing this or would we need to resort to modifying the source code?
