The SW will accept VLAN tagged Layer-2 frames, ignoring tpid and tci.

The SW will always transmit un-tagged (non-VLAN) Layer-2 frames.

Does that mean it "correctly" responds?  Well, that may be a matter of
opinion.  The last time I looked, VLAN tags are only specified for
trunking ports of switches.  The only valid use of VLAN tags from a
station's port is to request a priority (using VLAN zero).  That
option is not implemented in linuxptp.
