I recommend not using Mode lines for the regular resolutions like 800x600. Try without them, see what happens. Keep your modelines for widescreen, though. I'm not sure those are built-in. I noticed the modeline you posted is marked "@70". I disrecommend that. Stay with 60Hz refresh. There's no benefit to faster refresh on the LCD.
