In the past, several people have mentioned that there clock ran too fast. Usually triple speed.
(I mostly ignored this because it never happened to me. Well, something like it happens in a desktop I just bought (HP Pavilion a1250n with an Athlon 3800+ x2; ATI Radeon Xpress 200 chipset). So I've been googling. My problem is unrelated, but the bugzilla entries are somewhat intertwined.) If you are having this problem, and your laptop is based on the nVidia chipset (i.e. not a recent system), have a look at http://bugme.osdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3341 Perhaps nobody still has this problem. More likely, anybody with this problem may well have given up on Linux. If you have a problem like this (clock running at double speed), but your notebook is based on the ATI chipset, perhaps you should look at http://bugme.osdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3927 Do either of these ring a bell with anyone? _______________________________________________ LinuxR3000 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pcxperience.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxr3000 Wiki at http://prinsig.se/weekee/
