Yeah, it is.  No need to open it up for that; there is software that
lets you look at the timings the RAM reports.  CPU-z on Windows; there
is probably a similar tool for Linux.  Though, I think it can take
PC3200 if that is all you put in there.

Is that the more expensive, recommended memory?  You can find the
exact same specs (eg on newegg) for a little less because it isn't
verified to work.  But it should work just fine.  The below specs like
fine, by the way.
