HAve you glanced over the wiki? full of helpful > hints and information, definitely worth a glance Ben, Actually, I even contributed to the wiki once some time ago (ndiswrapper with Ubuntu amd-64 Breezy). Of course, it didn't occur to me to look there for information about replacing the keyboard. Bear in mind that I am blond. :( But the link to HP's site produced a complete service and repair manual (hundreds of pages), which I printed out. I am happy to report that replacing the keyboard took all of fifteen minutes and all is peace and harmony again in keyboard-land. I am currently perusing the wiki to see if I can figure out why I keep having filesystem errors. I'm going to try flashing the BIOS -- found the instructions, but the link for the files I need shows files for different HP computers. I'll have to sort it out tomorrow, though, because I need this machine running today for class. But afterwards I have the whole weekend to fix it in case I blond it up, and time to make a full backup first as well. _______________________________________________ LinuxR3000 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pcxperience.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxr3000 Wiki at http://prinsig.se/weekee/
