I try to post this again since my first trial did not seem to work. Hello everyone, I'm new to linuxsampler but since the latest release appeared somewhat old to me, and the mandriva rpms (my distro) don't let me use the gigedit plugin in linuxsampler, I installed the whole tree from cvs this afternoon. (compiled in the recommended order without problems, gcc-4.3). libgig, liblscp, linuxsampler, gigedit, qsampler. One reason why cvs (I have to admit) was also that I saw first signs for a future plugin version in that :) I created a new instrument with gigedit with a .wav sample as basis, saved it once, launched qsampler and loaded the instrument. I edited and all seems fine except one thing, and I wonder if you are able to reproduce this. If you choose the bi-directional loop, linuxsampler always segfaults and leaves qsampler in frozen state, the time until it crashes depends arbitrarily on 'infinite loop' and loop length. This happened with other samples as well, also with .aiff formats. There's no other output I can give you since I didn't compile with debug option. It also happens with gigedit closed when the .gig file containing the bi-directional loop is loaded into linuxsampler. The other two loop modes work OK.
Is this something currently broken in cvs head (is it worth waiting?) or rather related to my installation? Thank you for any help on this and thanks for this powerful sampler. Cheers Frank PS: I can give some other feedback with minor stuff if this is appreciated for the cvs version ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Linuxsampler-devel mailing list Linuxsampler-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linuxsampler-devel
