Hi, let me thank you for your great job first: it's nice be able to play gig samples with linux!
Now I will describe my problem. I'm using linuxsapler 0.5.1 under Ubuntu 8.04 and it works perfectly with qsampler 0.1.5 (compiled from source). If I try to use it with qsampler 0.2.1, I create the same midi and audio devices, I open the same channels, I make the same connections in JACK, but unfortunately I do not hear any sound. Another problem I encountered in version 0.2.1 is that the volume slider in each channel doesn't respond well and sometimes I cannot move it away from 0%. Furthermore one time, during a rosegarden session, qsampler 0.2.1 crashed, causing the following output in dmesg: [11530.642970] qsampler[22794]: segfault at 00000008 eip b73f52c5 esp bfe77e20 error 4 Attached please find the lscp files that qsampler generates. One is from version 0.1.5 (works), the other is from version 0.2.1 (no sound). I hope you'll find helpful this error report. Feel free to send me patches: I'm available to test them. Regards, Marco
