Thanks Andreas for these, and sorry I should have tried a fresh cvs download when I noticed my error. it builds OK now. So I tried to run it. With jackd-0.116.1 running, Qsampler and linuxsampler both start up OK.
However, when I select the device manager icon, therein deselect ALSA, select JACK and click on create, I get a dialog saying: New Audio device - Could not create device The message window beginning from startup is here: 22:40:10.663 Client connecting... 22:40:10.698 Server is starting... 22:40:10.704 linuxsampler 22:40:10.767 Server was started with PID=11992. 22:40:14.010 Client connecting... 22:40:14.016 Client receive timeout is set to 1000 msec. 22:40:24.068 Client connected. 22:40:24.125 Sent fine tuning settings. 22:40:24.167 New session: "Untitled1". 22:40:40.399 New Audio device lscp_create_audio_device: Server terminated the connection (errno=-5) 22:40:40.422 New Audio device Could not create device. So something's still wrong here.... Thanks again.
