Hmm, I see how they work from engines/gig/Voice.cpp. This site also
documents it somewhat:

You can find an obscure reference to EG3 in a screen capture at page
119, so it seems it has its own parameter section, but they overlooked
documenting it anywhere in the manual. Tsk tsk.

There is also a reference to a "6 dB boost" parameter (pg 318) which
seems not to be supported in LS. Is this correct? It doesn't seem a
particularly useful parameter anyway, if you treat your samples
correctly.
