Hi! If this is a repeat message I apologize, but I'm Afraid I may not
have sent it to the list, but to one subscriber by mistake.
I'm using LinuxSampler with jOrgan Freedom Special virtual organ, which
involves 32 sampler channels, all responding to MIDI expression
controller 11 to effect dynamics. I'm only using the effect out
channels, in order to take advantage of the volume control. I'm getting
clicks when sending the expression messages. They don't occur all the
time, and I can't tell whether it has to do with the frequency of the
messages, or when there are gaps between steps , e.g., 64, 65, 69, 70,
73, etc. I could expect a snap with a very significant skip from one
level to another, but these seem to occur even with small changes, and
sometimes it seems not to matter how fast they are or if there are gaps
or not. .
I'm using Linux Ubuntu and the package installed by Synaptic from about
April or May 2010. Synaptic says its still up-to-date, but I suspect I
need to update via source. Have any changes been made in the past few
months that might improve that situation, or has anyone else experienced
it? Thanks for your help.
