I saw that lv2-1.0.0 was released so I thought I'd tried to see if state restoration of multi-part SFZ and GIG files worked with the linuxsampler plugin and ardour3.
Using AVLinux 5.0.3 I did this: Compiled and installed all of these: lv2-1.0.0.tar.bz2, serd-0.14.0.tar.bz2, sord-0.8.0.tar.bz2 sratom-0.2.0.tar.bz2, lilv-0.14.2.tar.bz2, suil-0.6.0.tar.bz2 Compiled SVN 2342 of of libgig, liblscp, linuxsampler and SVN 12043 of ardour3. However, I still find multi-file SFZ, GIG files are not restored in saved sessions, just as before. For example I see ardour3 terminal output like this: Scheduling '/mdkhome/sound/recording/ardour3/test/plugins/127/state1/SalamanderGrandV3_41_24.sfz' (Index=0) to be loaded in background (if not loaded yet). Loading sfz file '/mdkhome/sound/recording/ardour3/test/plugins/127/state1/SalamanderGrandV3_41_24.sfz'...OK Loading sfz instrument ('/mdkhome/sound/recording/ardour3/test/plugins/127/state1/SalamanderGrandV3_41_24.sfz',0)...OK Caching initial samples...sfz::Engine error: Failed to load instrument, cause: /mdkhome/sound/recording/ardour3/test/plugins/127/state1/41khz24bit/A0v1.wav: Can't get sample info: System error : No such file or directory. So either: 1) This functionality has not yet been implemented. 2) I do not know how to build everything to get the unfunctionality Comments, suggestions welcome on whether there restoration of multi-file SFZ, GIG files is possible with linuxsampler and ardour3.
